Kyle & Nicole were great hosts from the time I booked to check out. Instructions to check in were clear, gave a code that’s easy to remember to get in, house felt cozy and just easy to get settled in. My husband and I both said we would stay here again if needed. Would definitely recommend!

Bluewood Escape was everything that it described. The location was very quiet. The house was very clean and well maintained. Lots of things to do for the family and very well stocked. We loved being outside and enjoyed the hot tub, sauna, and fire ring. Being able to use the facilities at the Pocono Farms Community Club was also an added bonus. Would definitely return to this destination. Communication with the host was very easy and the check out was easy as well. Definitely recommend!

This has to be the most responsive, customer service focused host I've ever booked with. Any and all questions or concerns were immediately answered and/or resolved. The property is a great getaway for a family. There was ample space for our clan of 4. On top of that, the property is dog friendly, so we didn't have to find a sitter! It really felt like home away from home. The hot tub and game rooms were a hit, and the large patios on both levels were nice to sip coffee in the morning and do a puzzle book or two. The community was especially quite and serene. We saw deer on numerous occasions, too!The community amenities were great, too. The lake and pool were frequented often. Even though we did excursions outside of the community, there's plenty of things on site and within a couple minutes inside of the community to keep many people busy for most if not their entire stay. We would love to book this property again!

Us and another family went on a little getaway with the kids. The place was great, but the kids were obsessed with the basement it gave them a space to be loud and not disturb the little ones. Looking forward to coming back.

Frequently asked questions

Is it better to stay near Tobyhanna State Park or closer to Camelback Mountain?

Choosing the right location depends on how you plan to spend your vacation. If your itinerary includes hiking, kayaking, fishing, or relaxing by the lake, staying near Tobyhanna State Park provides convenient access to some of the area's most popular outdoor recreation. If skiing, snowboarding, ziplining, or mountain adventures are your priority, a luxury vacation rental closer to Camelback Mountain may save you driving time during your stay. Fortunately, Tobyhanna's central location makes it easy to enjoy both. Many visitors spend one day on the lake, another at a ski resort, and another exploring nearby towns, making Tobyhanna an excellent base for discovering the Pocono Mountains.

Which amenities are worth prioritizing in a Tobyhanna vacation rental?

The right amenities depend on the season and the type of getaway you're planning. Winter travelers often prioritize private hot tubs, fireplaces, and game rooms after a day on the slopes. Summer visitors typically look for outdoor dining areas, spacious decks, fire pits, and easy access to nearby lakes and parks. If you're traveling with family or a larger group, an open-concept living area and a fully equipped kitchen can make the property just as enjoyable as the destination itself. Rather than choosing the home with the longest amenity list, focus on the features that support the experiences your group wants to have.

Is Tobyhanna a good destination for family reunions and group vacations?

Absolutely. Tobyhanna is one of the most convenient destinations in the Pocono Mountains for large gatherings because it combines outdoor recreation with easy access to restaurants, attractions, and year-round activities. Many luxury vacation rentals feature multiple bedrooms, spacious kitchens, large dining areas, and outdoor gathering spaces that make it easy for everyone to spend time together without feeling crowded. Its location is another advantage. Families traveling from Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey can often reach Tobyhanna within a few hours, making it an ideal meeting point for extended family vacations.

What is the best time of year to visit Tobyhanna?

There isn't a bad time to visit Tobyhanna—each season offers something different. Summer is ideal for hiking, boating, kayaking, and spending time around nearby lakes. Fall attracts visitors looking to experience the Pocono Mountains' colorful foliage. Winter is perfect for skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, and relaxing beside a fireplace or in a private hot tub after a day outdoors. Spring offers quieter trails, fewer crowds, and comfortable temperatures for exploring the region's parks and forests.

How close is Tobyhanna to other popular Pocono attractions?

One of Tobyhanna's biggest advantages is its central location. Many visitors use the area as a base for exploring Camelback Mountain Resort, Kalahari Resort, Mount Airy Casino, Pocono Raceway, Big Pocono State Park, and The Crossings Premium Outlets. Because many attractions are only a short drive away, you can experience hiking, skiing, shopping, dining, and entertainment without changing accommodations throughout your trip.

Should I book my Tobyhanna vacation rental early or wait for lower prices?

If you're planning to visit during summer, peak fall foliage, holiday weekends, or ski season, booking early usually gives you the best selection and the best overall price. The most desirable verified homes—especially those with private amenities or larger floor plans—are often reserved well before peak travel dates. Booking earlier also gives you more flexibility when comparing different types of accommodations. Depending on your travel style, you may find luxurious chalets, spacious cabin rentals, large house rentals, or even a comfortable apartment that better fits your group and budget. Rather than waiting for last-minute availability, compare amenities, location, and value to find the property that best matches the vacation you're planning.
